Lake Minneola High School HOSA (Future Health Professionals) won 1st place in Nursing Assisting for the second year in a row. HOSA is the largest international organization for middle school, high school, and postsecondary/collegiate students with an interest in the health professions.
This year’s 1st place winner is Mallerie Coss-Vargas of Lake Minneola High School Career & Technical Education (CTE) Health Science and is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She is currently working at Leesburg Hospital as a CNA in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and will be attending Seminole State College majoring in Nursing, with aspirations to become an Advanced Registered Nurse Educator.
The other two winners in the photo are Benjamin Ash 2nd place from Georgia and Brooklyn Eardley 3rd place from Utah.
