The Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra will launch their new season on Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8 with Scheherazade – Legends and Heroes with Michael Garasi as the special guest conductor.

Scheherazade: The Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra will perform the very romantic “Scheherazade”, the story of 1001 Arabian Nights with the exploits of Sinbad, the young Prince and Princess as a special request from an angel donor. This exciting new program will feature family-friendly music. Other musical journeys into fantasy will be performed. Appropriate for the Fall Season, they will share Superman, ET Adventures on Earth, Hedwig’s Theme, and Hook-Flight to Neverland — all of which were huge hits for John Williams. Plus, as another special request: they will perform In the Hall of the Mountain King.

Mr. Michael J. Garasi previously held the position of Principal Conductor of the professional Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra for numerous seasons. Under Maestro Garasi’s baton, the FLSO successfully earned a significant profile in the Central Florida community. Garasi is currently the Artistic Director of the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra.
