The Montverde Academy Theatre Department will present the beloved musical, “Mamma Mia.” “Mamma Mia” tells the comical story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. This story takes place on a Greek island paradise on the eve of the daughter’s wedding, Sophie, played by Kalin Gines, who seeks to discover the identity of her father. She has invited three potential candidates (portrayed by Aidan Fracker, Aiden Bjortvedt and Anthony Morehead) from Donna’s, Sophie’s mother played by Peytann Tamasi, past to the island.
This compelling and fun tale of past love is made even more enjoyable with the iconic ABBA music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus to include “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and “Mamma Mia,” woven throughout. It is sure to inspire singing and dancing in the seats as a surefire hit not to be missed at Montverde Academy!
