Pet owners across Central Florida are howling over this year’s Mardi Gras Pet Parade supporting The Animal League. The parade, which is part of a weekend of Mardi Gras festivities, raises money for The Animal League, a non-profit organization that has been saving cats and dogs that may have otherwise been euthanized since 1988.

The Animal League invites you to dress your pet in beads and bling and join us as we parade down Main St. in Leesburg. Then, strut your pet in front of a panel of local judges.

So, if you and your pet are feeling a little jazzy – register for the 23rd annual Mardi Gras Pet Parade! This event is fun for the entire family, plus your pet will have the chance to win great prizes. Costumes will be judged and awards are given based on the following categories: Funniest, Most Unusual, Cutest, and Best Team. And, of course, the popular “People’s Choice” award will be presented after the parade!

The Parade begins Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 pm and will start at 9th St. & Main St. in downtown Leesburg. Spectators are invited to line the parade route and cheer for their favorite costume.

Registration is open now along with sponsorship opportunities. You can view additional details by going to:  https://theanimalleague.org/leesburg-mardi-gras-pet-parade/
