Max, the well-known rooster, who has been living for the past few years in downtown Clermont close to the Clermont Historic Village, has relocated to a rooster-friendly environment.

Mad Max Takes A Stand!

Max is an aging rooster who has had a hard life before moving out of the swamp and into downtown Clermont.  Recently, there have been reports of individuals taunting and/or harassing Max and Max turning very aggressive trying to protect his turf.

Max is Tired of the City Life

Max needed a quiet place where he can live undisturbed, away from all the disturbances of city life. He needs a place where he can roam free and crow whenever the mood hits him.

Finding A Home Sweet Home To Roost

Lots of people love seeing Max strutting in the downtown Clermont Lakefront area. Kids and grownups alike want to touch him, feed him, some taunt him (not a good idea). Roosters aren’t the most loving of animals.

It was just a matter of time before someone hurt Max or Max hurt someone. No one is to blame for taking Max away. Simply put, Max needed to find a place where he can roam free, eat properly and not be harassed.

Good News!  Thanks to the City of Clermont, Max has found a good home away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
