CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, recently announced that it has been selected by Olympus, “a game-changing development project for Central Florida,” to market fully-entitled parcels within the visionary 243-acre master-planned community and global destination.

Guided by its brand promise of “Epic Every Day,” Olympus uniquely combines multi-sport training and competition venues, leading-edge wellness, health and fitness facilities, and a dynamic town center featuring world-class restaurants, shops, hotels, cultural and community events, and more.

Olympus is spearheading the Wellness Way area, a growth and innovation corridor consisting of 15,000+ acres near Orange County’s Horizon West and the western entrance of Walt Disney World. Olympus is estimated to create over 5,000 jobs and generate over $1.4B in local economic impact over a 10-year period.

CBRE’s team of global professionals –– led by Robert McEwan, Austin Weller, Taylor Yohner and Jason Sasser–– will market Olympus parcels directly to developers and end-users. “We are thrilled to bring such a revolutionary development project to the market,” said Robert McEwan, Senior Vice President at CBRE.

“Our vision of a health and wellness community, together with an innovative sports and entertainment destination, is even more relevant today as people seek a healthy, safe and vibrant community for their families,” said Michael J. Carroll, a founding member of Olympus. “We are very excited about our partnership with CBRE and look forward to groundbreaking in 2021,” he added.

Located in Clermont, the Choice of Champions, Olympus is designed to feature a synergistic array of development zones, including:

  • Multi-sport competition and training venues for collegiate, professional and elite athletes. Featuring sports celebrities, legendary coaches and global sports brands/properties.
  • Cutting-edge wellness, fitness and sports-medicine facilities for athletes, individuals, families, businesses and the local community. Featuring public fitness trails, state-of-the-art fitness & health club, healthy living/destination spa, and renowned orthopedic doctors/groups.
  • World-class hospitality, dining, shopping and office/conference venues for visitors, businesses and residents. Featuring premier restaurant brands, unique retail brands, leading hotel/resort brands and more.

“The Olympus plan integrates environmental stewardship, civic spaces, unique geography and world-class facilities,” Olympus Senior Planner and Development Director G. Brian Wheeler RLA said. “It is all about creating experiences that are unique and unforgettable. I am thrilled to be working with the amazing Olympus team on this inspiring project for Central Florida.”

Wheeler has nearly 40 years of experience in environmental design and land planning for real estate-based assets, community and urban master planning. He brings a successful career of planning and implementing mixed-use development to the Olympus team.
