Carole Anne Reay was born on February 5, 1933, in New York state, the daughter of Leroy and Olive Fuge Reay. While in Florida on a visit to her aunt, Dr. Mildred Reay, she met her future husband, Max P. Judy.  After a four-month whirlwind romance, they married and made their home in Clermont, FL., his hometown. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clermont and later in life, moved her letter to First United Methodist Church also in Clermont.

Working as a cosmetologist when her girls were young gave Carole insight into people and their needs. She spent years serving the community with the Clermont Junior Women’s Club. Later, she and her husband, Max, successfully navigated the waters of real estate. Carole was an agent and co-owner of Max Judy & Associates Realtors, Inc. Carole loved animals, especially her dogs, and even learned to kind of like her daughter’s cats. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and rose gardening opening the door for many conversations on “curb appeal” with clients who often became friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Shelley Anne Judy Welch and her husband, John, of Tallahassee, FL, and Carey Lynn Judy Hubbard and her husband, Tony, of Clermont, FL; her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Max Judy; and her siblings, Leroy “Buddy” Reay, Jr., William Burton Nitti, and Rena Louise Reay Alexander.
