The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will host a series of meetings in each Commission district in the coming months. The first meeting will be for District 1, which is represented by Commissioner Doug Shields. It will be held May 3 at 1 p.m. at the Cagan Crossings Community Library located at 16729 Cagan Oaks in Clermont. The meetings will not be live-streamed, and the public is encouraged to attend.
The District 1 meeting will focus on discussing the short-term strategic plan for the district as well as any additional long-term items over the next 5 to 10 years that District Commissioner Shields deems significant. Commissioner Shields will then offer the floor to the other Commissioners.
Subsequent meetings will take place in the other four Commission Districts. The dates, times and locations of those meetings will be provided at a later date.
