Clermont Police Chief

Police Chief Charles Broadway was challenged by his brother Pastor Brian Broadway to a  game of family feud; the challenge was accepted.

On Saturday, September 25, the brothers met at the Wesley Center, located at the First United Methodist Church of Clermont.  Over a hundred supporters were there to cheer for both Cops and Clergy. The teams had their sites set on the prize— prestige and a worthy cause: Find, Feed & Restore.

Master of Ceremony DJ Wilson kicked off the evening. Clermont Battalion Sea Cadets presented the colors.

The Cops won the competition

Although the Cops won, the Clergy took the loss quite well, though I wouldn’t doubt another challenge.

Pastor Brian Broadway is the founder and president of Find, Feed & Restore, a non-profit housing program that assists families with children to live, develop and grow in a stable environment

Pastor Broadway realized the importance of Home. His missionHousing First (no-cost housing for 6 to 12 months) while families obtain self-sufficiency; Homelessness Avoidance, permanent housing solutions (affordable housing for working families), (rent/mortgage/utilities assistance for struggling families); and Affordable permanent housing solutions that will provide affordable housing for working families with children.
After 6 years of providing food, career development, computer training, and job placement assistance, Pastor Broadway became aware of a missing element: the greatest weapon against homelessness is combining programs with property.  He has now taken his mission to the next level with his new project:  RESTORE LAKE.

Restore Lake will provide Bridge Housing for 3-4 months at no cost to help individuals get back on their feet. It will also provide shelter for women of domestic violence for 6 to 8 months at no cost to help survivors of domestic violence. The project will have 32 beds (can expand to 80 beds), a full kitchen, dining hall, apartment for a property manager, along with a case management facility. The project is scheduled to be completed in February 2022.

Donations are needed, as well as trailers to temporarily house the homeless. To learn more call 866-236-2983 or visit www.FindFeedRestore.com
