In 1993, Clermont and Groveland High Schools graduated their last classes before the two communities merged their 9th through 12th grades to form South Lake High School.

Groveland and Clermont alumni continue to honor the memories of their days at GHS and CHS by gathering annually to celebrate at their respective reunions. Groveland High and Clermont High alumni celebrated their reunions a week apart at the Wesley Center.

About 230 people attended the Groveland High Alumni Reunion. The weekend started with the annual GHS Reunion Golf Tournament at Green Valley. On Saturday, alumni met for a luncheon and celebratory program that included a salute to alumni veterans and members of the Classes of 1970, 1972 and 1972, who were honored for the 50th anniversary of their graduations. The alumni also held a silent auction that raised several thousand dollars for scholarships honoring a legendary GHS coach and a schoolmate who died while running track in high school.

Connie Fleetwood received a clock and plaque for her service as president of the organization since 2019. The reunion had been delayed since 2019 due to the pandemic.
