Tavares – The Lake County Library System will distribute copies of the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence beginning Monday, June 27 to celebrate Independence Day.

“As we approach Independence Day and reflect on the freedoms and liberties bestowed upon all Americans in the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence, I am excited that the Lake County Library System will be sharing copies with residents visiting our libraries,” said Lake County Board Chairman Sean Parks. “I hope all residents enjoy the 4th of July in Lake County and take pride in this great nation!”

Pocket-sized editions of the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence will be distributed at each of the 16 Lake County libraries during regular hours while supplies last. Booklets will be limited to one booklet per person.

“Libraries are the information hubs of the community,” said George Taylor, director of the Lake County Library System. “We’re excited to use this opportunity to share information about the freedoms afforded to us by the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence.”
