On Friday, September 16, the South Lake Chamber of Commerce welcomed over 160 local business leaders for its September Chamber Breakfast. 

The Chamber awarded Amanda Hansen of Seacoast Bank the September Ambassador of the Month award. Amanda provides exceptional value to the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. She serves on the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and Taste of South Lake committees.  Amanda is the local Seacoast Bank Branch Manager. 

 
 
The Ray Goodgame Outstanding Student Leader Award was presented by Commissioner Sean Parks – District 2, Chairman of Lake County, to Natalie Christine Babinski of Montverde Academy. The $1,000 Ray Goodgame Scholarship honors students in the South Lake area who serve as champions for our community. (For more details see ARTICLE ON NATALIE).

The Community Foundation of South Lake was the main Event SLCC Breakfast sponsor. Executive Director Kathy Smith, described the important work the foundation does in the community.

The Neighborhood Center of South Lake  – The organization is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and executive director Patricia Kry spoke of its long history of service in the community.

Jason Seigel, President & CEO of Greater Orlando Sports Commission has enjoyed more than 30 years of success and accomplishments in sports tourism, major and minor league professional sports, as well as intercollegiate athletics. He is currently in his seventh (7th) year as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports!).

Signature Event: Taste & Business Expo. The event will take place on Thursday, November 3 between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm. at Waterfront Park.

Food tasting from more than 30 local restaurants, and business samplings from more than 20 local business leaders.
