The Clermont Police Department continues to build community relations one cup of coffee at a time. 

The Clermont Police Department will host several Coffee with a Cop events to celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day. This day is part of the National Community Policing Week that began in 2016 and continues annually on the first Wednesday in October.

October 5

9:00 am – 11 am – We will begin on Wednesday, October 5th at Flag Coffee Corner located at 756 West Montrose Street, Ste. 101, Clermont Florida

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm –  Continuing on the same day, we will head to McDonald’s located at 799 Highway 50, Clermont

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – We will then end the day at Foxtail Coffee Co. located at 2608 South
Highway 27, Ste. 200, Clermont.

Clermont Police Chief Charles Broadway

Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide program that reinforces good relationships between the community and its local law enforcement agency. “Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together – over coffee – to discuss issues and learn more about each other”, said Chief Charles Broadway.

No speeches. No agenda. Just casual conversations. We will join several law enforcement agencies nationwide in this endeavor on October 5th.” The Clermont Police Department
invites the community to come out and strengthen this cause. The public will get to talk with our local Clermont Police Officers and ask questions, voice their concerns
and get to know the officers that patrol their neighborhoods.

Coffee with a Cop is an opportunity for citizens to meet law enforcement officers in a relaxed, neutral atmosphere without speeches, agendas or preset subjects. It allows them to spend time, one-on-one, with an officer who works in the community where they live and discuss whatever concerns are important to them.
