In the true spirit of the season, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is giving thanks to its donors with a token of appreciation.

On Saturday, November 19, the nonprofit will host a “Thanks for Giving” event to express gratitude to donors for their role in the mission of building lives that work. From open to close, community members who make a donation at their local Goodwill retail store (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.) or Donation Xpress location (8 a.m. – 7 p.m.) will receive a 10% discount to use during their next shopping visit. Shoes, sneakers, clothes, housewares and small appliance donations are strongly encouraged.

Donations play a key role in providing resources and jobs to Central Floridians. Revenue generated through sales of gently used items fund the organization’s employment placement and job skills training services, as well as its vocational rehabilitation program.

The closest Goodwill in South Lake is located at 1855 S. Grand Hwy, Clermont.
