Members from the Clermont Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department met on Friday, December 9th for the 10th Annual Battle of the Badges Basketball Game. The police department team was joined by members of the Clermont Fire Department to defend the champion title of last year’s victory.
Spectators enjoyed door prize opportunities as well as an action-packed game that resulted in a solid victory won by the Clermont Police Department team. A sweeping score of 20-43 insured that the CPD will retain the coveted basketball trophy for another year.

The light-hearted game is held annually to raise awareness and toy donations for the Christian Men in Action, a non-profit organization that provides toys, food and an evening of family fun for the Lincoln Park Community on Christmas Eve evening. The Christmas celebration is held at McKinney Park, 801 Bloxam Avenue, Clermont and is open to the community.
