Opening ceremonies at Groveland’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration were conducted by Mayor Evelyn Wilson. Wilson welcomed the community to the free event that included, food vendors, fresh produce stands, and entertainment provided by David Oliver Willis.

Keynote speaker, Pastor Tim Moses spoke of the transition taking place in Groveland, the City with Natural Charm, that includes political change in the local ranks, an effort of inclusiveness that encompasses everyone’s opinion regardless of background. Moses concluded by stating, “Keep pushing the car. If you can push the car, you can push a man to change for the good”.
