Clermont Main Street, a non-profit organization comprised of businesses who are passionate about investing in the longstanding heart of Downtown Clermont, hosted its inaugural State of Clermont Main Street on Thursday, Jan. 19. The event was free to the public and highlighted the history of the organization, the achievements of the past year and the plan for the future, using the Main Street 4-Point Approach to downtown revitalization: Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality.
Clermont Main Street President, Kimberly Grogan noted, “We are just beginning to make an impact in the community and we cannot wait to see how our efforts grow in the upcoming year.”
Board’s Vice President and downtown stakeholder Darren Johnson explains, “We have put in place a strong board, created the four pillar committees, engaged public participation, and drafted an achievable work plan and blueprint for the future of Downtown Clermont. While we have accomplished much in putting the organization and team together, the real work is ahead of us: putting the plan into action. We encourage all Clermont residents to get involved and help revitalize our downtown into a destination everyone can be proud of”.
Downtown businesses were on hand to showcase their businesses and many interested residents were present to learn more about Clermont Main Street – Lure of the Lake, Gem of the Hills.
