The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is hosting a special passport event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 6, to help those needing to apply for, replace, or renew their U.S. passport. The event is by appointment only and is being held at the Clerk’s South Lake Branch Office, located at 290 Citrus Tower Blvd., Suite 116, Clermont.

“This is a great opportunity for those unable to visit our office during the week to apply for their passport,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “We’re hoping that by offering this event on a Saturday, customers will be able to get passports for themselves and their children.”

To schedule an appointment, visit https://lakecoclerk.as.me/schedule.php. After booking an appointment, customers will be provided with additional information and instructions on documentation to bring with them. Passport photos will also be available on-site for a small fee.

As a U.S. Department of State (DOS) authorized agency, the Lake County Clerk’s Office assists residents with reviewing and submitting U.S. passport applications sent to the DOS for processing.
