By Cadence Whitehouse, Division 9B Lieutenant Governor of the Florida District of Key Club International

Last weekend, I had the privilege of holding my first Divisional Council Meeting (DCM) at Montverde Academy.

Overall, we had over 15 attendees throughout Division 9B, including the Kiwanis Division 9 Lieutenant Governor Chris Vogl and members and officers from Montverde Academy, Real Life Christian Academy, East Ridge High School, and Lake Minneola High School.

During the DCM, I held officer training for the Club Officers in our Division, along with a Kindness Rocks service project.

Through this meeting, I had the goal of providing additional information to all club officers as to what their position entails and what their official responsibilities are. We also had a group discussion about how to keep Key Club members engaged over the summer.

While each position was receiving information on their roles and responsibilities, the other attendees were participating in kindness rocks that they later could distribute around their school or community!

A big thank you to Mrs. Price for helping me coordinate the DCM. I am looking forward to an amazing service year ahead!
