Business Spotlight Shines On Clermont’s Newest Restaurants And Dims On 165F Seafood Boil

Grace O’Malley’s Public House is coming to Clermont. The Irish pub will open at 2400 S Hwy 27, Clermont (previously occupied by Graffiti Junction). It is scheduled to open late in February. 

Portillo’s is holding its soft opening now. The official grand opening is on January 9 at 10 am after a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The restaurant is designed with a Florida garage theme, the 7,700-square-foot restaurant has seating for 170 guests inside and an additional 50 on the outdoor patio. It also has double drive-thru lanes to serve guests. Signature menu items include Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake. Longhorn Steakhouse will soon have a location at 1201 E Hwy 50, near Portillo’s. 

The Cross Ridge Exchange, located just south of Clermont Landing between Wal-Mart Supercenter and BJ’s Wholesale, features 500ft of frontage on Highway 27, with direct access, and additional access from both Cross Ridge Road and shared access from BJs Wholesale. 

If all goes according to plan, the following restaurants and food service shops will be included in the businesses coming to The Cross Ridge Exchange.

7 Brew is the newly constructed building presently standing proudly and alone in front of the site of Staybridge Suites. 7 Brew is a drive-thru coffee shop, serving 7 original coffees and all kinds of custom hand-crafted drinks.

 

The Salt Shack in Downtown Clermont is opening soon. Signs indicate, “We’re hiring! Located on the shoreline of Lake Minneola, the restaurant will bring a rustic eatery featuring seafood, seasonal cuisine and tropical cocktails. Now Hiring and should be open by mid-January!
