(L) Vietnam veterans with (R) Kiwanis Club of Clermont president Chuck Seaver

On Tuesday, April 9,  the Kiwanis Club of Clermont excitedly welcomed veterans of the 101st Airborne/Airmobile Combat Infantry Division, Company C/2/501Vietnam to its noon meeting.

The veterans recently held their reunion in Clermont on April 9 – 11, at the lake residence of Willie Montgomery, veteran and retired Post Master.  The men reminisced about the resilience, sacrifice, and enduring power of friendship forged during the Vietnam War.

While the numbers may dwindle, the spirit of the Airborne/Airmobile Combat Infantry Division lives on in the hearts of those who served.  Though the years may pass, the bond among veterans remains unbreakable, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
