• Bianey Jasso Briano – Medical Assisting
• Danielle Bates – Practical Nursing Part-Time
• James Dawn – Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality
The students were nominated by their instructors because of their outstanding academic achievement, honorable work ethic, great attitude, and school and community involvement. The students of the month will receive a certificate of achievement, a balloon arrangement, and a delicious lunch served by Lake Tech’s amazing culinary team.
When asked, what was your reaction to be awarded student of the month, Yahaira Colon from the Cosmetology program replied, “I was surprised to be chosen from approximately 80 Cosmetology students. It was such an honor and I won’t forget it.” Yahaira graduated high school at age 16 and is attending Lake Tech part-time in the evenings. She plans to graduate in Spring 2025 and hopes to own her own business in the future. Yahaira states, “ I want to help others feel good about themselves and Lake Tech is teaching me the skills to do this.”
Lake Technical College is a public, post-secondary institution that offers high quality training for over 30 career and technical programs, as well as, adult education classes for GED and ESOL. The main campus is located at 2001 Kurt St., Eustis. The Institute of Public Safety is located at 1565 Lane Park Cutoff,
