Orlando Health South Lake Hospital took center stage as the main event sponsor of the recent South Lake Chamber of Commerce Breakfast, with Lance Sewell, President of the hospital, delivering a keynote address. Lance highlighted insights into the hospital’s growth and its impact on the South Lake community.

Lance, a crucial figure in the leadership of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital and the National Training Center, has been instrumental in navigating the complex landscape of healthcare since joining Orlando Health in 2006. His journey within the organization, initially as chief financial officer and later as President from 2020 onwards, underscores his commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in Central Florida.

At the Chamber Breakfast, Sewell elaborated on the hospital’s recent initiatives, particularly the Tower Expansion project. This expansion introduces significant enhancements including 88 new patient beds, specialized postpartum and neonatal care facilities, and additional ICU capacity. The development also incorporates a tranquil Memorial Garden, reflecting Orlando Health South Lake Hospital’s commitment to holistic patient care. The South Lake Chamber of Commerce Breakfast not only celebrated local business achievements but also upcoming events the includes:
2024 Lake County Hob Nob is free to the public and will be held at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, 3700 S. US-27, Clermont on Monday, July 29, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  Candidates interested in attending can reach out to Chamber staff for assistance.

The Teacher Appreciation Breakfast is another big event hosted by the South Lake Chamber on August 5-6. The 2-day event will have close to 1,600 educators from South Lake schools descending on Wesley Center, for breakfast and pep rally to kick off the school year.
