Carefully planned and designed, Clermont’s new Public Services Facility is operational and will enhance the delivery of crucial and specialized services that keep Clermont running. The $17 million facility is located at 12824 Hancock Road and houses what is needed to construct and repair streets and sidewalks, maintain and repair buildings, parks and grounds, provide garbage collection, manage stormwater and maintain and repair fleet vehicles that range from patrol cars to fire engines.

Staff offices and a state-of-the-art classroom are located in the administrative building. The fleet maintenance and repair shop features in-ground service pits and updated tools and equipment to maintain more than 400 fleet vehicles of all types and sizes.

The facility, located on 17 acres that allows for future expansion, also includes a vehicle fueling and cleaning station, covered parking for specialized vehicles not used daily and dedicated storage. The new facility is located just north of the City’s water treatment facility at 3335 Hancock Road and replaces the 35-year-old location on 12th Street.

Last year, Public Services completed, 513 oil changes, 2743 vehicle repairs and 444 tire repairs. They maintained 102 center-line miles of roadway, 124 miles of sidewalk, 390 acres in 24 parks with 12 playgrounds and 9 restroom locations. They also collected 18,000 tons of solid waste, including 26,000 pounds of scrap metal.
