The Pastfinders of South Lake

Did you miss Sessions 1 and 2?  Not a problem, as each class operates independently, offering the family historian a variety of ideas on where to search, how to organize, and what tools to use for tracking family history.

The upcoming class will explore different types of obituary notices and their value for genealogy. It will also demonstrate the connection between the phases of the US Naturalization Process and the US Census, delve into Alien Files within the National Archives Database, examine the history of US Visas required by our ancestors, and reveal how the US Archives Publication List can aid in research sourcing. Family History Research Session 3 encompasses Obituary Notes, The Naturalization Process, and Government Website Sources. The class is scheduled from 1 PM to 3 PM on Wednesday, October 2nd.

To receive your Zoom link, please register on our website at PastfindersSLC.org. This virtual class is free and open to the public. Invite your friends and relatives to join you. These classes are designed to be standalone, making them ideal for both beginners and intermediate family historians.
