Orlando Health is debuting the Orlando Health Spine Center, built on the expertise of Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. The new multidisciplinary center will focus on providing prompt diagnosis and treatment for patients with back and spine concerns. It will be the only program in Florida to bring together orthopedic and neurosurgical physicians who specialize in spine surgery.

“Determining what kind of specialist you need to see when you have back pain can be a daunting task for a lot of patients,” said Michael Jablonski, MD, president of the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. “By creating one cohesive spine center, patients can rest assured that visiting any location will get them to the most appropriate physician or spine care provider to develop their specific treatment program.”

The center is comprised of 16 locations across Central Florida, seven of which are walk-in clinics, and offers same-day appointments. With leading orthopedic and neuroscience specialists at the helm, the program will guide patients through a customized journey to fit their needs, whether it’s physical therapy and rehabilitation, pain management, or minimally invasive surgery. The center, with a total of 29 dedicated providers, will treat patients with conditions ranging from muscle strain to sciatica pain to more complex conditions.

“When our patients are in pain, they trust us to help them find answers and relief,” said Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Spine Surgeon Sheyan Armaghani, MD. “By putting together this highly trained team of spine experts, we’re elevating the care our patients will receive.”

“A multidisciplinary approach is vital to advancing spine care and providing tailored, comprehensive treatment for our patients,” said Robert Hirschl, MD, physician president, Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. “By integrating the neuroscience institute and orthopedic institute in this exciting new program, our goal is to improve outcomes and get patients back to the lives and activities they enjoy.”
