White Castle Breaks Ground in Clermont, Bringing Iconic Sliders to South Lake
An exciting new addition is coming to Clermont — the iconic White Castle has officially broken ground on its newest location near Costco on Highway 50.
Best known for its small, square sliders and rich history, White Castle has become a beloved name in American fast food. Founded in 1921, the family-owned chain is celebrated for its loyal fanbase and one-of-a-kind burger experience.
This will be White Castle’s second location in Central Florida. The first, which opened near Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando in 2021, drew massive crowds — some eager customers waited over two hours just to get their hands on the famous sliders.
With its latest expansion into Clermont, White Castle is expected to generate similar excitement among local residents and visitors. The new location promises the same classic flavors that have made the brand a household name for over a century.
Construction is now underway, and opening details will be announced soon.
