The City of Winter Garden is pleased to announce an Artists’ Call for its 2026 juried exhibition, “Dog Days of Summer: The Ulti-Mutt Art Exhibit.” Artists can submit up to three original works inspired by their favorite pooch or their interpretation of the theme. Submissions will be accepted electronically from May 1 through June 10, 2026. Application details are available on the Art in Public Places Gallery at City Hall web page.

Up to 25 selected pieces will be displayed at the Art in Public Places (AIPP) Gallery at Winter Garden City Hall (300 W. Plant St.) from July 1 to August 31, 2026. However, all local pups can be part of the exhibit as residents are encouraged to add a photo (max. 4”x 6”) of their own pooch during the exhibition to “The Dogs of Winter Garden,” a special community art display of Winter Garden’s canine citizens. While on view, pups are welcome to accompany their human escorts inside City Hall to explore this paws-itively fun-loving show.

“Winter Garden loves their dogs and so do we! The exhibition is a great way to highlight our residents’ beloved canine companions while providing a fun (and cool) outing for the entire family (including the furry ones) during the warm dog days of summer,” said Donna Corbus, City of Winter Garden Community Liaison and AIPP curator.

A Launch Paw-ty to celebrate the exhibit’s opening will be held on Friday, July 10, 6- 8 p.m. at City Hall. The community, including well-socialized hounds, is invited to this free event to meet the artists and their canine models, view the exhibit, and add their pup’s photo to the designated art piece. Hosted by the City of Winter Garden, the event will also include a pooch photo station, dog-related giveaways, themed refreshments (for the canines too), and fun activities for all ages.
