Thrive Clermont recently celebrated a major milestone, marking its 10th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that highlighted a decade of growth, community impact, and dedication to serving South Lake County teens.
Since its founding in 2016, Thrive Clermont has helped more than 4,000 young people by providing resources, educational programs, and mentorship opportunities designed to help teens build healthier, stronger, and more fulfilling lives. The nonprofit creates opportunities for students to grow, connect, and succeed through programs focused on life skills, career readiness, and personal development.
As part of its anniversary celebration, Thrive Clermont announced an exciting new initiative for local youth. In partnership with the City of Clermont and Landi-Lou Talent Agency, the organization will launch the Teens Got Talent Showcase, a live performance and art exhibition scheduled for Oct. 22, 2026, at 7 pm at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center’s Main Stage.
The showcase will highlight the creativity and artistic talents of Lake County students through a live variety show and student art exhibit. Organizers say the event is designed to provide young people with a platform to share their talents, build confidence, connect with peers, and receive mentorship from professionals in the arts and entertainment industries.
Student performers will have the opportunity to showcase a wide range of talents, including singing, dancing, instrumental performance, spoken word, comedy, magic, and other unique acts. Up to 12 performers or groups will be selected to take the Main Stage before an audience expected to exceed 700 attendees.
Selected participants will receive professional support from Landi-Lou Talent Agency, including stage coaching, professional headshots, and hair and makeup services in preparation for the event.
In addition to the live performances, local high school art teachers throughout Lake County will be invited to curate exhibit tables featuring outstanding student artists from their schools, creating a comprehensive celebration of youth creativity.
The new showcase aligns with Thrive Clermont’s broader mission of preparing students for success beyond high school. Through its year-round Adulting Program, Thrive offers workshops and events focused on financial literacy, workforce development, career and college readiness, entrepreneurship, and mental health and wellness. Programs are open to all students, regardless of background or income.
As Thrive Clermont celebrates 10 years of service, organization leaders say they remain committed to expanding opportunities for local teens and helping the next generation build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to thrive.
