Lake County invites residents and visitors to enjoy a weekend of collegiate beach volleyball at the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) East Qualifier. The event will be held at Hickory Point Recreation Complex Sand Sports Facility, located at 27345 State Road 19, Tavares, on Oct. 24–25.
This two‑day tournament will welcome collegiate athletes from across the region as they compete for a spot in the AVCA Beach National Championship, which is scheduled for Nov. 6–8 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Hosted by Sand Court Experts, the qualifier will feature top talent competing in women’s beach volleyball divisions. Athletes will demonstrate skill, teamwork, and determination as they battle for the opportunity to advance to the national stage.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend, cheer on the athletes, and experience the energy of collegiate beach volleyball right here in Lake County. The event also reinforces Hickory Point’s reputation as a premier destination for beach volleyball competitions, drawing athletes and spectators from across the country.
