The Neighborhood Center of South Lake is pleased to announce that Monica Wofford, CSP, has joined its Board of Directors. With over thirty years of experience as an executive coach, leadership consultant, and business owner, Monica brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization.
Monica Wofford is the founder of Contagious Companies, Inc., a training firm dedicated to developing leadership skills in managers who have been promoted but not prepared and those facing challenges with difficult team members. Her approach is rooted in the belief that leadership is a skill to be nurtured and developed, not an innate trait.
A former corporate executive and trainer, and the former Non-Profit CEO of United Way of Lake and Sumter, Monica has a proven track record of success in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. She is the author of “Contagious Leadership” and “Make Difficult People Disappear,” and has been recognized as Consultant of the Year and one of Meetings and Conventions Magazine’s favorite business speakers.
Monica’s accolades include numerous awards in business and training, and she holds the prestigious Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation. Known for her engaging, entertaining, and interactive speaking style, Monica encourages leaders to be authentic, powerful, and personable.
In addition to her professional achievements, Monica enjoys playing polo, spending time with the goats on her farm, and humming the theme song to the classic sitcom “Green Acres.”

The Neighborhood Center of South Lake is designated as a Healthy Food Pantry Network, which means our clients receive healthy (minimally processed) groceries for their families, and assistance in accessing government and other necessary resources, helping them break the cycle and improve their quality of life and set our neighbors on the road to sustainability.
