Historic Downtown Clermont, known for its charm and history, is preparing to take on a more ghostly glow this season. While the streets may be lined with memories of the past, organizers are ready to stir up something a little more spine-chilling—complete with fiends, frights, and a touch of drama.

Since they couldn’t conjure up actual zombies, ghosts, and goblins, Clermont is calling on the living residents of South Lake to fill the roles instead! Volunteers are needed to bring the haunt to life (or… afterlife) as terrifying zombies and spooky actors who can groan, growl, and deliver their best bone-rattling performances.

Participants should have a flair for the dramatic, be comfortable with lighting effects, eerie music, and creepy soundscapes, and be able to remain in character while standing for extended periods of time. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to scare!

Actors must be at least 14 years old, with parental approval for those under 18. Whether you’re a theater enthusiast, a Halloween fan, or just someone who loves a good fright, this is a chance to help create a haunted experience that will send shivers down the spines of visitors.

In addition to actors, the event is also seeking sponsorships to help bring the frightful fun to life.

Clermont’s spooky celebration promises to be one of the season’s highlights. and the city is eager to see who dares to answer the call.
