The Kiwanis Club of Clermont hosted its 100th Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet on September 15 at Green Valley Country Club. This milestone celebration reflected the club’s mission of “One Child, One Community at a Time.”
The evening was filled with recognition, gratitude, and a few well-earned standing ovations as members and community leaders were honored for their commitment to making South Lake a better place for children and families.
Jessica Whitehouse presented the prestigious Kiwanis International George F. Hixson Fellowship Award to Chris Boylan for his outstanding dedication and service to the club.
The Oakley Seaver Award went to Cadence Whitehouse, who has been actively involved in Kiwanis since the 2nd grade. With more than 1,000 volunteer hours to her name, Cadence embodies the spirit of service that Kiwanis fosters.
Audrey Morgan was recognized by the Early Learning Coalition for her devotion to supporting young and at-risk children.
Thom Battisto and Kathy Scherer were honored for their loyal service and commitment to the club.
Daniel Whitehouse received special recognition for his tireless support of community organizations throughout South Lake.
The highlight of the evening came as Florida Governor Jeremy Riehl and Division 9 Lt. Governor Barbara Breuer installed the 2025–2026 slate of officers and board members:
-
President: Chuck Seaver
-
Vice President: Dieter Grube
-
Secretary: Thom Battisto
-
