The Winter Garden Heritage Foundation (WGHF) is kicking off its “Hometown Holidays” season with two highly anticipated events designed to delight all ages. Backed by the generous support of presenting sponsor AdventHealth and dozens of other dedicated community partners, the Foundation is set to deliver its most exciting and culturally rich holiday season yet.
Oranges and Ornaments: A Festival of Trees
Step into a spectacular holiday landscape as the Foundation transforms its entire campus into a dazzling showcase of festive creativity. This beloved tradition celebrates Winter Garden’s deep citrus heritage and community spirit.
The Experience: This isn’t just a viewing, it’s an opportunity to take home holiday magic! Explore a magnificent collection of beautifully decorated, uniquely themed Christmas trees. Every tree is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that guests will want to purchase and proudly display in their own homes for the holidays. All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 featuring Opera Orlando
The WGHF, in partnership with Opera Orlando, presents the powerful and moving musical production, “All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914,” at the historic Garden Theatre on Plant. This production is a stunning, a cappella account of the spontaneous World War I ceasefires that occurred along the Western Front on Christmas Eve, 1914 – a timeless story of peace, humanity, and hope.
