The Montverde Farmers Market hours of 11 am-4 pm are in effect. Held every Wednesday in the Town of Montverde’s Kirk Park, the MidWeek Market’s theme is, “A Community Farmer’s Market with an International Flavor.” The Market offers “Fresh & Unique Every Week” items. The event is free and open to the public. Kirk Park is in the middle of Montverde adjacent to Florida’s Green Mountain Scenic Byway (CR-455) which connects Highway 50 to Highway 561 and Highway 19.
During a typical Market day, shoppers can select quality items from frequent vendors such as these: Vita Produce, 2-J’s Seafood, Yalaha Bakery, Coffee Shop of Horrors, Jay’s Italian Olive Salad, Captain Jo’s Fish Dips, I’m Nuts (Candied Nuts), Sunny Paradise, Acai Bowls, Under the Seas Salts, and other friendly “small business owners” offering their specialties to shoppers. With the new hours, some previous vendors are returning. Those include AJIS Cakes and Candies, Pea Pod Peirogis (May 2), LifeStyle Treats and others. New vendors include Semilla Nativa US (Pesto), Allison’s Seasonings, SunDawg Hot Dogs/Paninis, and Simply Sweets Chocolate & Bakery. Visitors to the Market include residents of Montverde, Arrowhead Estates, Summit Greens, Heritage Hills, Trilogy, Groveland, Minneola, Clermont, Winter Garden, Oakland, Astatula, Howie-in-the-Hills and other communities.
“Everyone is welcome to come and discover the excellent Market we’re building in Montverde,” says Market Manager Ron Smart. “We recruit vendors with amazing products for our customers. And now we’re beginning to expand with crafters and artisans who can apply for participation.” Smart encourages guests to “tell us what you’d like to see in this new Market”. He adds, “Suggest a product that we don’t have and we’ll work to get it into the Market for you!”
