On Saturday, December 13, Montverde Academy welcomed students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to campus for Holiday Fest, a joyful evening filled with music, traditions, and festive fun. The campuswide celebration offered something for all ages and truly captured the spirit of the season.
Guests enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout the evening, including carriage rides, cookie decorating, inflatables and slides, a campfire with s’mores in the Senior Courtyard, and a hot chocolate station. Families stopped by for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday characters, and caricature artists, while children and adults alike took part in crafts, games, and prizes. People donned their holiday attire, adding even more color and cheer to the evening.
Holiday Fest also featured several beloved traditions and interactive events, including a cake walk, a holiday tree raffle, and a dreidel game hosted by the Jewish Student Union. As the evening continued, guests gathered for an outdoor pop-up movie showing “The Polar Express,” while others enjoyed community carols and live entertainment near the tower.
A highlight of the evening was the Fine Arts Conservatories’ “Lessons & Carols” performances, a cherished seasonal tradition at Montverde Academy. Three holiday concerts were presented in the Sandra O. Stephens Auditorium, featuring the Lower School choir and the Lower School faculty choir, an instrumental concert, and an Upper School performance. Together, these performances added a meaningful and reflective element to the festivities, bringing the community together through music and storytelling.
With an atmosphere full of warmth and connection, Holiday Fest was a memorable celebration that reflected Montverde Academy’s strong sense of community and holiday spirit.
The Holiday Fest committee, Mrs. Margaret Price, Ms. Kalena Meyers, Mr. Dean Bell, and Mrs. Mary-Kay Rath, would like to thank all guests and volunteers who came out to celebrate with us. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus on December 12, 2026.
