The South Lake High School Football and Track teams took their commitment beyond the field and track this past Saturday, joining forces to support the Keep Lake Beautiful community cleanup event in Groveland.
Student-athletes, coaches, and community leaders gathered early to help beautify the area, demonstrating the Eagles’ dedication to service, teamwork, and civic pride. The event kicked off with South Lake’s athletes alongside Groveland Mayor Keogh, marking a strong show of partnership between the school and the city.
Volunteers worked together to remove litter and debris, helping preserve the natural beauty of Groveland while reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship. For the Eagles, the effort reflected lessons learned through athletics—discipline, responsibility, and working together for the greater good.
Community members praised the students for their enthusiasm and willingness to give back, noting that events like this help strengthen ties between local schools and the communities they serve.
As the Eagles continue to soar in competition, they are also making a meaningful impact off the field—one cleanup at a time.
Soar Eagles Soar!
