The Lake County Board of County Commissioners and the Public Lands and Trails Acquisition Advisory Committee are pleased to announce that the Property Nomination Application window will reopen on Feb. 13, 2026, and will remain open through April 17, 2026.
Lake County is seeking property nominations that support efforts to:

Protect drinking water sources.

Preserve natural areas and open spaces.

Provide new parks and trails.

Improve water quality and conservation efforts.
This initiative, established under Ordinance 2024-18, supports a future bond issuance of up to $50 million dedicated to protecting and preserving Lake County’s natural lands and resources for generations to come.

Applications must be completed in full to be considered.

If submitting a nomination on behalf of a property owner, an Owner Affidavit Form must be included with the Nomination Form.
