The South Lake County Fellowship of Christian Athletes Executive Board celebrated their first FCA Team Time event for 2026. Monthly Team Time meetings are set aside to engage, equip and encourage their staff and board members who serve our South Lake Community.

Under the direction of FCA Board Chairman Dr. Jeff Duke, their board and staff have taken on progressive new organizational directions going forward. They have reorganized their Executive Working Board, their Ministry Leadership Board and their FCA Staff Missionaries to better serve the community. While the Executive Working Board team meets once per month, the Ministry Leadership Board team will meet annually in August with a big empowerment rally. FCA Team Time has become an essential element of managing all their leadership teams with staff, volunteers, ambassadors, athletes, schools, churches, and families to collectively share their mission, vision, ministry, and prayer.

This Team Time kickoff meeting became an open think tank session with proposed solutions to take advantage of challenges and to create new opportunities. They reviewed their expanding team members, sports events, and their influential community outreach with directed ministry. Each of the board members shared examples of their FCA values with heartwarming stories and accolades that continue to help their leadership team share courageous love, honor and privilege while mentoring their student athletes.

Dr. Jeff Duke noted, “We will always need to look forward. Our dream team boards need to share and inspire the strong principals of leadership with everyone involved. One of our biggest challenges remains to empower and inspire our leadership board teams. We need more volunteers to help us successfully spread our ministry and prayers.” Duke added, “We will always be able to learn great lessons from challenges and failures.”
