A downtown Clermont storefront is getting a stunning new look this week as Orange Blossom Belle brings a long-held vision to life. The boutique, located at 701 W. Montrose St., applied for and received a Facade Beautification Grant from the City of Clermont to fund the project, then tapped local artistic duo Jessica and Christina Fonseca of M. Lynn Creative to paint the large-scale mural. The design celebrates the history and natural beauty of the community through an old-school Florida-inspired aesthetic.
The mural draws on Clermont’s deep roots as a citrus community, featuring oversized oranges as a tribute to the region’s historic orange groves alongside vibrant native Florida wildflowers. The imagery evokes a classic, nostalgic vision of Florida, one that honors the landscape and heritage that define Clermont as a place.
“Since opening Orange Blossom Belle a little over 6 years ago, we have always dreamed of seeing a mural on our wall. We wanted to bring the history and charm of Clermont to life. When we met Chris and Jess of M. Lynn Creative, we knew instantly that they were the perfect team to make our vision a reality. We are so blessed to have received a facade beautification grant from the City of Clermont to help make this project possible. It truly takes teamwork to make a dream work, and we are so thankful to have the most amazing team on our side for this project.”
Jessica and Christina Fonseca, the duo behind M. Lynn Creative, are no strangers to the power of public art to shape how communities experience the places they call home.
“One of the things we love most about public art is its ability to bring people together. Our hope is that this mural gives residents a renewed sense of pride in Clermont while giving visitors a reason to stop, take a photo, share their experience, and spend time exploring downtown. When people connect with a place emotionally, they stay longer, tell others about it, and support the businesses around it. We hope this mural becomes a vibrant gathering point that reflects the spirit of Clermont and helps strengthen the downtown community for years to come.”
Jessica and Christina will be on-site painting throughout the week of June 22–26 and are available for media interviews and photo opportunities. Members of the public are encouraged to stop by and watch the mural come to life.
The City of Clermont’s Facade Beautification Grant program supports improvements that enhance the visual character and economic vitality of the city’s downtown corridor. By applying for and receiving the grant, Orange Blossom Belle joins a growing list of local businesses investing in Clermont’s sense of place and the long-term vitality of its downtown.
