Student-athletes present Congressman Webster with a signed basketball, commemorating an undefeated season and national championship title
Montverde Academy’s Varsity Boys’ Basketball team presented Florida Representative Daniel Webster with a signed basketball. Earlier this year, the team won the 2018 GEICO National Championship in New York City, finishing their season ranked No. 1 in the country by USA Today.
“Congratulations to Montverde Academy’s boys’ basketball team on winning the 2018 GEICO National Championship,” said Congressman Webster. “I am happy to recognize the contribution of the coaches and players to this historic season. May their example inspire many to follow in their footsteps.”
“Montverde Academy is very proud of our varsity basketball team’s undefeated season and their achievement of winning the GEICO National Championship title,” said Dr. Kasey C. Kesselring, Headmaster, Montverde Academy. “To commemorate the season, the team is honored to present Congressman Daniel Webster with a basketball signed by all the members of the 2017-18 team. We are pleased to be representing Congressman Daniel Webster’s district, Lake County and the State of Florida.”
