Fundraising efforts for the future Veterans and First Responders Memorial continue to gain momentum through a new partnership with Hands of Hope America, an organization dedicated to strengthening communities and improving access to essential services.

Hands of Hope America serves underserved communities throughout the Four Corners region of Lake, Polk, Osceola and Orange counties. Guided by faith-based principles, the organization works to equip, empower and restore individuals and families through accessible, evidence-based services for children, families and individuals. Its mission includes promoting community well-being by expanding access to mental health care, social services and essential resources.

Through this new fundraising initiative, Hands of Hope America will support its community programs while helping advance the Veterans and First Responders Memorial Fund. For every $30 donated to Hands of Hope America, $10 will be directed to the memorial fund, helping honor the service, sacrifice and dedication of the veterans who have served the nation and the first responders who protect the community.

Raffles to Benefit Memorial Fund During Veterans Day Tribute

The partnership will be highlighted during Clermont’s Veterans Day Tribute on Wednesday, November 11, at 11 am at the Arts & Recreation Center, located at 3700 S. Highway 27 in Clermont.

The Community Foundation of South Lake County, Hands of Hope America and the Veterans and First Responders Memorial Committee will host two raffles featuring a variety of prizes and gift cards. The raffles are intended to raise awareness of both Hands of Hope America’s fundraising campaign and the future Veterans and First Responders Memorial.

All raffle ticket proceeds will benefit the Veterans and First Responders Memorial Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of South Lake County.

The event will provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about the memorial project, discover ways to support Hands of Hope America’s programs and contribute to an initiative that recognizes the dedication and sacrifices of veterans and first responders.

How to Contribute

Community members are encouraged to scan or click the event’s QR code to visit the Community Foundation of South Lake County website. Once there, donors can select either the Hands of Hope Fund or the Veterans and First Responders Memorial Fund to direct their contributions.

Through this collaborative effort, the participating organizations hope to strengthen community support for vital local services while helping establish a lasting memorial honoring the men and women who have served the nation and safeguarded the community.
