East Ridge High School’s talented Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre students are preparing to take center stage for A Knight of Theatre, a two-act showcase celebrating their dedication, creativity, talent, and hard work. The production will run November 12–14, with evening performances at 7 pm and a Saturday matinee on November 14 at 2 p.m.
The event will feature a 40-minute one-act musical, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, which will represent East Ridge High School at the District Thespian Festival in December. This comedic musical revue explores the many stages of modern love, from dating and romance to marriage and growing old, offering an entertaining and humorous look at the relationships and experiences that shape our lives.
Following the one-act musical, audiences will embark on a journey through musical theatre history during the second act, featuring select songs from classic musicals. The showcase highlights the students’ performing talents while recognizing the creativity and technical expertise of those working behind the scenes to bring the production to life.
The East Ridge community is invited to come out and support these talented students! Whether they are longtime theatre enthusiasts, families looking for an enjoyable night out, or community members eager to celebrate the achievements of local students, audiences can look forward to an evening filled with laughter, music, and memorable performances. Attending A Knight of Theatre is a wonderful way to encourage young performers, recognize the hard work that goes into a live production, and show support for the arts in local schools.
