The Lake County Animal Shelter is celebrating National Adopt a Senior Pet Month with its “Fall in Love with a Senior Pet” promotion, offering $7 adoptions for all pets 7 years and older throughout November.
The month-long promotion encourages residents to open their hearts and homes to senior pets and discover the special companionship these animals can bring to their families.
“Senior pets have so much love left to give, and they deserve the chance to spend their golden years in a loving home,” said Whitney Boylston, director of Lake County Animal Services. “Adopting a senior pet can be an incredibly rewarding experience. We encourage residents to meet these wonderful pets and see for themselves just how amazing they are.”
The Lake County Animal Shelter offers adoption counseling Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Every adoption includes:
-
Spay or neuter surgery
-
Initial vaccinations
-
Microchip and personalized identification tag
-
A lifetime of love
Residents can visit the shelter throughout November to meet adoptable senior pets and find their perfect companion. To learn more about the adoption process and view available pets, visithttps://www.lakecountyfl.gov/165/Adoptions.
