Rain can dampen the spirits but that wasn’t the case for the families and friends who traveled to Tallahassee to cheer for the South Lake Little League Juniors. “We couldn’t be more proud of this team, the coaches and the parents!”, said a South Lake League Team representative.

The game was called because of weather in the 5th inning, with a final score of Deerfield Beach 12, South Lake 8. Though the team lost by four runs, the team did not come home defeated. Going to State is quite an accomplishment, an 8-2 post-season record is amazing, bringing home two banners is a testimony to the team’s dedication and talent.
