On Monday, March 4, the Mayor, Council and Chief Morgan recognized Firefighter Paramedic, Lieutenant Joe Ridge and Firefighter Paramedic, Michael Ridge for successfully completing the Field Training Officer testing.
The brothers navigated a written exam, electrocardiogram test, oral interviews and various practical scenarios to become the department’s newest field training officers. They will join the exclusive group of Field Training Officers that continually train Firefighter Paramedics not only with the Groveland Fire Department but also agencies throughout Lake County.
The Groveland Fire Department would like to thank Dr. Desmond Fitzpatrick (Lake EMS), Dr. Joel Rowe (Lake EMS), Captain Jonathan Carey (Lake EMS), Captain Sean Sacco (Clermont Fire Department), Lieutenant Billy Patrick (Groveland Fire Department) and Mr. Deo Persaud (City of Groveland) for their participation in the testing process.
