A calendar featuring Lake County Firefighters holding cute and cuddly shelter pets has been honored with a Golden Image Award by the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA).
Created by Elisha Pappacoda, Magdalena Zapata, and Bryan Baquiran, with the Lake County Office of Communications, the calendar helped raise money and awareness for the Lake County Animal Shelter.
The “Rescue Me” calendar received the highest honor in the Printed Tools: Poster and Calendar category and was selected among other entries from across the state of Florida.
Director of the Lake County Office of Communications Elisha Pappacoda, who is a member of FPRA Lake County and the chapter’s incoming vice-president, accepted the award at the Golden Image Awards banquet held during the 81st FPRA Annual Conference held in Tampa, August 4-7.
The “Rescue Me” calendar received an Image Award in April after competing on a regional level against other public relations projects. The Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence in Florida. Winners demonstrate the very best examples of innovation, planning and design. Local Image winners often go on to win at the state Golden Image level.
