IN THE NEWS
Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza will be coming to Clermont. The Italian pizzeria will be located in the space formerly occupied by Crisper’s at 1754 E. Hwy 50., Clermont. Once remodeled, the Italian eatery will be open for business.
McDonald’s Restaurant – If you are a long-time resident, you will remember that the biggest thing to come to Clermont in the 1970s was its first major fast-food restaurant, McDonald’s. If you drive by the restaurant, located at 799 E Hwy 50, you will notice that the building is getting refurbished; new roof, new drive-thru, new speakers, new kiosk, new bathrooms, a new look!
Key Food Supermarkets, located at 701 East Highway 50, is expanding into the former All Care Animal Hospital.
Lucky’s Market has closed to the sorrow of many of our residents. Rumor has it the Publix will be taking over the lease….however, my bet is on Aldi taking the space.
Chick-Fil-A – Construction begins on a canopy to help both customers and team members get some relief from the hot temperatures. The project should take about 6 weeks.
The Building on Montrose (formerly 801 City Grille) contract pending. The building has 3-stories, the top floor had apartment rental space, the middle floor was the restaurant area, and at one time, the lower floor was a banquet/event area. No telling what the historic building will hold this go-round.
Starbucks is under construction and will be located at 4299 U.S. Highway 27 by the Kings Ridge Shopping Center.
