Chamber Ambassadors Were Recognized At The South Lake Chamber Breakfast

The South Lake Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are the people you see wearing a blue blazer and a warm smile. They attend Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, the monthly Breakfasts, just about anywhere you think Chamber, you’ll see Ambassadors. They provide a warm welcome to new businesses and support to the entire South Lake business community.

For the past 26 years, SLCC has recognized the Chamber Ambassadors at the annual Ambassador Breakfast. This year the Breakfast was held at the First United Methodist Church Wesley Center on Friday, February 21.

It’s a tradition at the Ambassador Breakfast for the present ambassador chair to pass the scissors to the incoming chair to signify him/her becoming the new chair of the Ambassadors. This year, 2019 Ambassador Jacquie Peterson of Splash Social Marketing passed the scissors to Anessa Hunt-Jones, United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties.

AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR – OTIS TAYLOR

Pat Caracciolo, the SLCC Board Chair announced the 2020 Ambassador of the Year, Otis Taylor of Give A Day Foundation. Give A Day Foundation is an organization that promotes volunteerism and civic involvement.

The Chamber supports many individuals and organizations that provide assistance to the youth in the community.

Gary Schindele, the Commanding Officer of the Clermont Sea Cadet Battalion spoke briefly on the wonderful work of the Clermont Battalion
