The United States Submarine Veterans Incorporated (USSVI) is the premier Submarine Veterans Organization. USSVI exists for the purposes of Remembrance, Fellowship and Compassion. The organization remembers its departed shipmates who honorably served in submarines. It meets and participates in group activities to keep alive the spirit and bonds of submarine camaraderie and fellowship with shipmates. To shipmates, the organization extends a helping hand and words of encouragement or solace when they are needed. Through its Charitable Foundation, it extends scholarships, maintains memorials, provides holiday meals to young submariner families in need and does other good works locally and nationwide as the need and the opportunity arises.

USSVI is a 501(c)19 Not-For-Profit Veterans Organization that is chartered in the State of Connecticut as a non-stock corporation. They were chartered in 1964 with one Base (charter) at Groton Connecticut, and over the last 56 years has grown to 168 bases with 12,632 members across 49 states.

A new USSVI base is being organized in the Clermont area.

All qualified submariners are eligible for membership. Those not qualified in submarines such as a family member (wife, son, husband, and daughter) or a non-family member who shows that he/she has an interest in submarines (sub tender sailor, other members of the military services, shipyard workers, author of submarine books, etc) can join as associate members.
